Before your first service takes place you will be required to complete a contact form and agree to the following terms and conditions for Dog Grooming with The Furry Dogmother. This form must be completed and signed before grooming services are provided. All client and pet information is kept confidential and will be stored securely for future visits.

 

Health & Behaviour

• The owner must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, behavioural issues or injuries prior to the appointment.

• The Furry Dogmother reserves the right to refuse any grooming services to dogs that pose a risk to themselves, other pets or staff.

 

Payment & Cancellation

• Payment is due at the time of service unless pre-arranged.

• We accept cash or bank transfer. 

• A 24-hour notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.

• Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a 50% service fee.

Grooming Limitations

• Matted coats can cause a variety of skin and health issues as the matting does not allow air circulation to the skin. This can cause hot spots, bacterial and fungal infections.

• Severely matted coats will result in being clipped short for the comfort and safety of the dog. This may cause some skin irritation such as redness, itching etc. This will be communicated with the owner before proceeding.

• As this poses a greater risk for nicks, cuts, scratches and skin irritations, The Furry Dogmother will not be liable.

• There will be an additional fee for dematting.

 

Grooming Duration & Arrival/Collection

• The duration of the groom will depend on the breed and the condition of the dog's coat. The owner will be provided with an estimated time on arrival.

• I will text the owner when the dog is ready to be collected. Please arrive within 30 minutes of receiving this text, unless prior arrangements have been made.

• Dogs must arrive and leave the premises on a secure leash, and owners are responsible for ensuring their dog is under control at drop-off and pick-up.

 

Accidents & Emergencies

• In case of emergency, I give permission to The Furry Dogmother to seek veterinary care.

• I understand that I am fully responsible for all associated medical costs.

• The groomer will make reasonable efforts to contact me before treatment.

• The Furry Dogmother is not liable for accidental injuries, pre-existing conditions, or aggravation of existing medical issues during grooming.

• The Furry Dogmother is not liable for allergic reactions to products if such allergies were not disclosed.

 

Satisfaction Guarantee 

• The Furry Dogmother provides professional dog grooming services with the highest quality of care and attention.

• If you are not satisfied with the service, please inform me within 24 hours and I will do my best to address your concerns.

 

Photos & Social Media Consent

We may take photos of your dog before, during and after the groom for our social media, unless you opt out at the time of booking.

 

Agreement

By booking with The Furry Dogmother, you confirm you have read, understood and agree to the terms listed above.
